In the South of Russia (the Ukraine) the bourgeoisie did offer some
resistance, but only during the rule of the Hetmen Skoropadsky and
Petlura, aided by the Allied armies. As soon as foreign aid was
withdrawn, the Ukrainian bourgeoisie also became helpless.

dictatorship were in full sway, which alienated the masses and resulted
in insurrections.

The Mutualists, though not calling themselves Anarchists (probably
